AE100

The AE100 features a shallow AE body with a Venetian cutaway constructed of a solid Sitka spruce top with X-M bracing on laminated okoume sides and back with an open pore finish. It has an A.I.R.port on the top side to provide the player with a more direct sound. The front soundhole is round with an abalone rosette and a black pickguard. It has a nyatoh neck with a Comfort Grip profile with a 20-fret laurel fingerboard with acrylic stylized diamond position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a scalloped laurel bridge with Ibanez Advantage pins, a plastic nut, and chrome die-cast tuning machines.

Electronics consist of a T-bar undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQW-TP2 preamp with volume and tone controls and on-board tuner powered by a 9 volt battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼” outputs.

A.I.R.port

After spending years of trial-and-error, Ibanez realized the out-of-the-box X-M Bracing to generate the ultimate sound standing out on the stage. The carefully designed scalloped X-bracing, the allocation of tone braces, and finger braces transmit the string vibration efficiently through the bridge to the body. The X-M Bracing creates the clear bottom and crispy treble sound with trimmed warm mid-range, yet provides a wide dynamic range and high response.
