Some lightweight drums might employ low-grade components to achieve lighter weight, but not the PDP Daru Jones New Yorker II. PDP built these “short stack” shells with pro-grade maple/poplar plies to supply that warm backbeat that grooves with the best of them. To complement, this shell pack boasts low-mass mini-turret lugs and a classic MAG throw off for the snare, all coated in a durable and attractive chrome finish (including the True-Pitch tension rods!). And all New Yorker II drums come with top-quality Remo heads, so you know they will sound great for a long time.
Snoms all around
For versatile snaring like you’ve never experienced, the PDP Daru Jones New Yorker II has a few tricks up its sleeve. Nicknamed “snom” (snare + tom), this hybrid drum engineering equips the floor tom and the mounted tom with a snare throw-off system.
